Document Replacement Coverage

Natural Disasters totaled $145 billion in 2021. North American wildfires and storms were the most costly. It was also the most expensive year on record for insured losses due to winter weather, at $17 billion.

Only 41 percent of American families have a household emergency plan - and far fewer consider how to replace important documents when disaster strikes.

Fires, floods, hurricanes, and tornadoes can destroy critical documents and identification cards, as well as scatter and compromise personal information. As your family works to recover from a disaster, fraudsters may be trying to steal your identity.

As a benefit of your membership with Mutual Assurance, you are covered by our Document Replacement service through our partnership with CyberScout. In the event of a natural disaster or emergency, you will be provided with education, advice, and assistance to replace your personal documents and identifications.

Cyberscout specialists will help:

  • Identify all of the documents your family needs to replace.

  • Provide phone numbers and website addresses, so you can order new documents and IDs.

  • Walk you step-by-step through the process, with instructions and advice.

  • Send forms by mail for you to sign and submit, if you lack internet access.
