Expanded Replacement Cost 125%
Expanded replacement cost "expands" your dwelling coverage by 25% of the cost to rebuild your home. This may help repair or rebuild your home after a covered loss should the cost of materials and labor increase in your area. "Replacement cost" refers to the cost to rebuild your home, not its market value.
Normally, you would need to purchase this sort of expanded coverage, but Mutual Assurance includes it as part of your policy. Here’s an example of how it works:
Your home is destroyed by a tree that falls during a tropical storm.
Many of your neighbors’ homes have significant damage from wind and water too.
Because materials and contractors are in high demand, the cost to rebuild your home increases.
Here's an example:
Your policy’s coverage is $500,000.
With expanded replacement cost of 125%, your home coverage would be $625,000.
