Digital Payment Options for Mutual Assurance Policyholders

A man sitting at a desk in an office in front of a laptop opened to a payment portal for paying his home insurance.

At Mutual Assurance Society of Virginia, we are committed to making every interaction with us secure, efficient, and convenient. One way we’re doing that is by expanding digital payment options for both paying your premium and receiving claim payments.

Digital payment methods offer greater speed, security, and reliability than traditional paper checks — whether funds are coming to us or being issued to you.

Paying Your Premium — Secure, Flexible, and Immediate

Policyholders may pay premium invoices through our online portal using our partner, One, Inc.’s secure payment platform, a trusted insurance payment processor that uses encryption and tokenization to safeguard your information.

Advantages to using this option include:

Immediate Processing

Digital payments are received and posted promptly, helping reduce the risk of late fees or policy interruptions caused by mail delays. Digital payments also provide immediate confirmation, giving you the confidence that your payment has been processed.

Enhanced Security

Your bank or card information is entered directly into the secure portal — not shared verbally over the phone and not visible to our staff. Sensitive data is protected using bank-level encryption.

Flexible Payment Options

We accept:

  • ACH (bank draft)

  • All major credit cards

  • Apple Pay

  • Google Pay

  • PayPal

  • Venmo

  • Quick Pay (no login required)

Note: Credit card payments may include a processing fee. ACH payments do not incur a credit card processing fee.

What to Expect

When you want to pay your assessment, click on the Make A Payment tab in the navigation bar at the top of the page. You can then pay with or without logging into the member portal.

You will be directed to the OneInc payment portal and asked to provide your policy number and mailing zip code.

If you have already paid or your payment isn't due, you will receive the message, "No payment due at this time." If you are due to pay, the amount owed will come up with payment options.

It's that simple.

Receiving Claim Payments — Faster Access to Your Funds

Policyholders may also choose to receive claim payments digitally, eliminating the wait associated with paper checks.

ACH Direct Deposit

You may securely enter your bank routing and account number directly into our portal so funds can be deposited into your account. This ensures you maintain control of your sensitive information and avoids sharing banking details over the phone.

Direct-to-Debit (Up to $25,000)

For qualifying claims, funds can be deposited directly to your debit card for payments up to $25,000.

PayPal or Venmo (Up to $10,000)

For claim payments up to $10,000, you may choose to receive funds through PayPal or Venmo for added flexibility and convenience.

Why Choose Digital?

Whether paying a premium or receiving a claim payment, digital transactions offer:

  • Speed — Funds move faster than traditional mail

  • Security — Encrypted and tokenized payment processing

  • Control — You enter your own information securely

  • Reliability — No dependence on postal delivery

  • Convenience — Immediate confirmation and simplified recordkeeping
